I'm a backend developer and computer-science student at Florida International University graduating in 2027. I love to build full working projects that are useful to other people.
I work across the full stack, frontend and backend, but I'm focused on landing a backend role — designing APIs, data models, and the databases behind them.
A multi-user maintenance and flight-hours tracker for general-aviation aircraft owners. It tracks recurring service items on calendar or engine-hours cycles with live "time left" and one-click roll-forward, logs flights by hand or by importing Garmin avionics CSVs, and keeps Hobbs/Tach meters in sync. Every account is fully isolated, with ownership enforced server-side on every write.
A trip planner for pilots flying client charters. Import a week's calendar and Deadhead weighs every choice after each leg — fly the plane home, leave it and Uber back, or overnight at a hotel — then returns the cheapest plan for the week next to the "always fly home" habit. Titles with airport codes are read for free; plain-English events go to Claude on the pilot's own encrypted API key.
A disaster-relief web app that connects people who need help with responders who can provide it. After a quick email sign-up, anyone can post an aid request with a location and a free-text need, and Google Gemini tags it as Food, Water, Shelter, Medical, or Other. Responders work a shared dashboard to filter, claim, and complete requests through an unclaimed → claimed → completed workflow, with one-tap Google Maps directions.
A multi-user school task tracker that turns a class syllabus PDF into a calendar — xAI's Grok parses each upload into exams, assignments, and milestones. Add class-bound or personal to-dos with recurrence and reminders, sync everything to Apple/Google Calendar through a single iCal feed, and dock the whole app beside your work via a Chromium side-panel extension.
A collaborative car maintenance tracker, built by a 5-person team for FIU's CIS 3950 capstone with me as Product Owner. A household keeps every vehicle in one garage, logs service with date, mileage, and cost, schedules what's due next, and sees anything overdue flagged on the dashboard. Vehicles can be shared by email invite, so family or roommates can log service too.
I'm a computer-science student who has been sharpening my craft by designing and shipping real projects end to end. I haven't held a professional software role yet — and that's the next step I'm chasing.
I'm looking for an internship or work experience with a company where I can contribute and learn from engineers ahead of me. If your team has room for someone hungry to build, contact me.
Opportunities for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship, the College of Engineering & Computing's research program that pairs undergraduates with a faculty mentor for hands-on research. Placed in SyLab, FIU's Systems Research Laboratory, which works on operating systems, storage, and distributed systems.
A student tech community at FIU, part of the national INIT nonprofit, that runs technical programs, career development, and peer mentorship for students breaking into tech.
Looking for backend / software engineering internships and work experience.
